Long Story Short
I Was a Church Kid
Going to church as a kid isn't uncommon for people my age. There are lots of churches around and I went to one because my parents went to one. I didn't have a choice. Our family usually went to Taco Bell afterwards, so in my young mind, it was worth it.
I Was Absolutely Lost
Even though I grew up going to church on Sunday mornings, I was desperately and hopelessly lost. It wasn't because the church was bad, It was because I hadn't met Jesus, and because I didn't know Him, I didn't really know myself either. It was like I was spending every Sunday in the home of a person I didn't know.
Jesus Found Me
Not long ago, I met Jesus. I know, this is where you're looking for the "EXIT" button while thinking that I'm insane. Thats fine.
But what If?
For me, it is reality.
I MET Jesus.
He wasn't walking down the street or sitting in a cafe casually turning water into cold brew. He met me in my darkest pain and deepest insecurities. He met me in my worthlessness and shame. It was the most powerful experience of my life.
I'll never go back to lost.
This is why I'm Chasing Jesus.
